Slip Resistance
Epotread W50 allows you to tailor the level of slip resistance to suit your needs. When applying fewer coats (one or two), more of the flake texture remains exposed, providing a naturally higher level of grip.
More coats will create a smoother, easier-to-clean finish but will reduce surface texture and grip.
How The Epotread Flake System Works
Step 1: Apply the first primer coat of Epotread 1000 – Flake Floor Base Coat thinned 20% with water. This will create a long-lasting bond between the coating and the concrete substrate
Step 2: Apply second coat of Epotread 1000 – Flake Floor Base Coat
Step 3: While the second coat of Epotread 1000 is still wet broadcast the decorative flakes evenly across the surface
Step 4: Once the basecoat has cured and the flakes are securely bonded remove the excess flakes using a soft broom, wide scraper, or leaf blower
Step 5: Apply 2-3 top coats of Epotread W50 – Clear Flake Floor Top Coat. the top coats locks the flakes in place, seal the surface, and provide a smooth, durable finish.
